The advantages of composite material
Today, composites are used for a wide range of cutting edge applications from building materials for bridges to marine & aerospace applications. Reinforced fibre resin has four key properties. It's lightweight, durable, flexible and very strong.
Composite covers have always been seen as a high cost alternative to traditional metal products. However, with technological advances in the manufacturing process, lower raw material costs and rising metal prices; composites can now compete head to head.

The specifier’s choice
Fit a Fibrelite the first time and you can forget about future problems. The original brand of cover, offers tremendous advantages over cheaper "copycat" composite and steel products. Fibrelite guarantees high quality, high performance products which exceed global health and safety standards.
Innovative design
Our patented internal structure allows Fibrelite to create high strength one piece moulded covers with or without access ports. The original Fibrelite brand of cover is a highly specified with load ratings of C250 and D400.
Load ratings
Branded covers are available in two load ratings. Our standard covers exceed EN 124 C250 - 25 ton load standard. Our flat sealed C250 covers can be installed in the tanker unloading area. At stations where the cover is located in the heavy goods vehicle lane; for example within the diesel filling area, we recommend our D400 heavy duty covers. These comply with BS EN124 D400 - 40 ton load rating.
In response to customer demand, Fibrelite has launched a new range of lower specified covers designed for pedestrian and non-traffic areas. This covers range is designed to meet and exceed BS EN124 B125 load standard.
A15 – areas used by pedestrians and pedal cyclists.
B125 – footways, pedestrian areas and car parks
The range offers a cost effective alternative to metal and concrete covers.
Covers can be pigmented with a wide range of colours and can be branded if required.
