GRP underground containment systems

Our Standard Plus range of GRP containment systems can be used for pipework and cable transition chambers and to house underground pumps and other electrical equipment. Our systems comprise of a solid base chamber, frame and a flat sealed composite manhole cover, providing the perfect watertight solution.

Why use GRP chambers & composite covers ?

GRP (glass reinforced plastic) is very strong, non corrosive and requires minimal maintenance during its working life. Chambers can be produced to be resistant to specific chemicals, by using a special resin during the manufacturing process. We can also add an anti-static material within the surface of the chamber, to ensure it is fully conductive. This makes GRP the ideal material to use for many industries and utilities.

We have two brands of composite manhole cover included in our chamber systems.

• Fibrelite, our original brand is our premium range of covers which comply with BS EN124 load ratings C250 and D400.

• Eco-lite is our economical range of manhole covers, designed for non-traffic areas and pedestrian zones. They comply with BS EN124 A15 and B125 load ratings. Eco-lite covers are a low cost alternative for buyers, who still want the same trusted quality of the Fibrelite brand.

Our covers are designed with a watertight seal and are flush with grade level, to prevent trip and fall injuries. Our ergonomically designed lifting handle (model FL7A), provides safe removal and replacement of covers, without risk of injury to the back and fingers.
