Trenwa and Fibrelite’s innovative molded fiberglass trench and cover system is light enough to install manually and to significantly reduce freight costs, while strong enough to withstand heavy vehicle traffic and harsh field conditions.
The modular trench system includes 5 ft. long straight trench sections, 45° angles, a universal cross/tee section as well as end walls, and is designed to work with Trenwa’s Fibrelite LHF H20 load rated lids.
The Trenwa Fibrelite trench system is designed with a proprietary beam structure that can support heavy vehicle loading and both the trench and the covers have been load tested individually and as a system to meet AASHTO H20/HS20 load ratings.

Light enough to install without cranes or lifting equipment, the Trenwa Fibrelite trench system is strong enough to withstand heavy vehicle traffic and harsh field conditions. The trench has been proof load tested to meet AASHTO H20/HS20 load ratings (40,000 lbs). The trenches’ dimensionally consistent molded walls of the trench will not flex or require bracing during installation and backfilling, and the lack of metal reinforcing makes them ideal for high voltage applications.
The Trenwa Fibrelite trench system is designed for efficient installation with shiplapped ends for easy alignment. It is also easy to cut (no cracking or chipping) and the solid bottom bases can be field cut to create openings and drain holes. Cable clips, Unistrut and similar accessories can also be field mounted.
The trench comes in a 5 ft standard length which can be field cut to shorter lengths following guidelines. The trench has a nominal inside depth of 16” and a nominal inside width 20” or 30”. The Trenwa Fibrelite trench topped by the lightweight Fibrelite LHF trench covers, creates a high performance system suitable for frequent traffic crossing.

Fibrelite’s HS20 load rated FRP composite trench lids are light enough to remove manually while strong enough for frequent traffic crossing. Designed to withstand harsh field conditions for many years, Fibrelite lids are chemically inert, non-conductive, freeze / thaw cycle impervious and chip and crack resistant.
